CVE-2026-97873 2026-10-03 N/A
In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.86, the raw JCA provider's legacy PBES1 (PKCS#5 scheme 1) and PKCS#12 PBE families ran their password-based key derivation with an iteration count taken from untrusted input without bounding it, so a small input could dictate an arbitrary amount of work before anything could be verified. The AlgorithmParameters implementations (PKCS12PBE and its object identifier aliases, and PBKDF1) accepted any count from an encoded PKCS12PBEParams or PBEParameter, narrowing a value beyond the int range with intValue(), and every Cipher, Mac and SecretKeyFactory in these families derived with whatever count it was given, including one decoded by another provider's AlgorithmParameters, as when javax.crypto.EncryptedPrivateKeyInfo.getKeySpec() decrypts a PKCS#12 PBE-protected private key with BC. Both the parameter parse and the derivations now reject a negative or over-limit count under the org.bouncycastle.pbe.max_iteration_count property (default 10,000,000) that already bounded PBKDF2 (CVE-2026-17508), and the parse rejects a count beyond the int range rather than narrowing it. This issue also affects Bouncy Castle for Java LTS before 2.73.13.
CVE-2026-83663 1 Apache 1 Thrift 2026-10-03 7.5 High
Uncontrolled Recursion vulnerability in Apache Thrift go bindings. Both Go transports satisfy a read out of a buffered frame and, when that frame yields no payload bytes, read the next frame and call `Read` again instead of looping. A peer produces such a frame for 4 bytes in `TFramedTransport` (a declared size of zero) or 18 bytes in `THeaderTransport` (a header block that fills the frame), so nothing bounds the depth. The Go stack limit is reached as a `fatal error`, which `recover()` cannot catch, so the whole process dies. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-103552 1 Apache 1 Directory Ldap Api 2026-10-02 7.3 High
Stack Overflow vulnerability in Apache Directory LDAP API. Before binding, a client can send a deeply nested search filter that overflows the stack in the server's decoder. This issue affects Apache Directory LDAP API: from 1.2.0 before 1.2.9. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.2.9, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-102731 1 Apache 1 Directory Ldap Api 2026-10-02 7.5 High
Memory allocation with excessive size value vulnerability in Apache Directory LDAP API. A malicious peer (or a MITM) can send a small BER-encoded response causing a large memory allocation before any data is received. This can lead to an OutOfMemoryError and denial of service. The client JVM OOMs (OutOfMemoryError bypasses the DecoderException handlers) or pins the large allocation per connection while the attacker stalls. A handful of connections exhausts any heap. The same bytes from an unauthenticated pre-bind client hit any embedding server that did not set MAX_PDU_SIZE_ATTR. This issue affects Apache Directory LDAP API: from 1.2.0 before 1.2.9. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.2.9, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-100661 1 Netty 1 Netty 2026-10-02 7.5 High
Netty's HTTP/3 codec (io.netty:netty-codec-http3) versions 4.2.0.Final through 4.2.17.Final contain a denial-of-service vulnerability in the QPACK prefixed-integer decoder (QpackUtil.decodePrefixedInteger), which does not bound the number of continuation bytes it will process. A remote, unauthenticated peer can open a QPACK unidirectional stream (type 0x02 encoder or 0x03 decoder) and send a first byte with all prefix bits set (e.g. 0xFF for a 7-bit prefix or 0x3F for a 5-bit prefix) followed by an endless run of 0x80 continuation bytes. The decoder returns -1 ('need more bytes'), so callers never consume the input, the ByteToMessageDecoder cumulator grows without bound, and each decode() invocation re-scans the whole accumulated buffer, yielding O(N^2) CPU cost. The result is unbounded per-connection heap growth (OutOfMemoryError) and event-loop CPU starvation, reachable in every configuration. Fixed in 4.2.18.Final.
CVE-2020-8659 3 Debian, Envoyproxy, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Envoy, Openshift Service Mesh and 1 more 2026-10-02 7.5 High
CNCF Envoy through 1.13.0 may consume excessive amounts of memory when proxying HTTP/1.1 requests or responses with many small (i.e. 1 byte) chunks.
CVE-2026-63572 2026-10-02 N/A
Allocation of resources without limits in PKCS#12 keystore loading (Pkcs12Store.Load) in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp before 2.7.0 allows an attacker who can supply a PKCS#12 (PFX) file to cause a denial of service through CPU exhaustion via an iteration count close to 2^31 in the file's MacData or in the PBE parameters of an encrypted SafeContents or shrouded key bag, because the counts are taken from the file without an upper bound and the key derivation runs before the MAC or the password can be checked. A zero or negative count is covered by CVE-2026-63575. Pkcs12Utilities.ConvertToDefiniteLength is also affected.
CVE-2026-63133 1 Cisagov 1 Malcolm 2026-10-02 6.5 Medium
Malcolm is a network traffic analysis tool suite. Prior to version 26.07.0, `safe-extract.py` extracts uploaded archives with no limit on entry count, directory depth, total entries, or output size. A small malicious archive containing a large number of directory or file entries causes the filebeat processing container to create an unbounded number of filesystem objects, exhausting inodes or filesystem metadata and denying service to the processing pipeline and any service sharing the same mount. Version 26.07.0 fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-71486 2 Vllm, Vllm-project 2 Vllm, Vllm 2026-10-02 4.3 Medium
vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. Prior to 0.26.0, the /v1/completions/derender and /v1/chat/completions/derender endpoints accept caller-supplied GenerateResponse objects whose generate_responses, choices, token_ids, prompt_logprobs, logprobs.content, top_logprobs, and routed_experts structures are processed by OnlineDerenderer and tokenizer.decode before max_model_len, max_tokens, max_num_seqs, or response-size limits are enforced, allowing an authenticated API client to consume excessive CPU and memory and produce oversized responses. This issue is fixed in version 0.26.0.
CVE-2026-94657 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Thrift, Hummingbird 2026-10-02 N/A
Allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability in Apache Thrift JavaME bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-94656 1 Apache 1 Thrift 2026-10-02 N/A
Allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability in Apache Thrift ruby bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-94655 2026-10-02 N/A
Allocation of resources without limits or throttling, Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in Apache Thrift Lua bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-82458 1 Redhat 1 Hummingbird 2026-10-02 7.5 High
Memory allocation with excessive size value, Allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability in Apache Thrift Go, netstd, OCaml, Erlang, JavaME, Rust, C++, Java, Kotlin and D language bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-63568 2026-10-02 N/A
Allocation of resources without limits or throttling in the CMP/CRMF password-based MAC verifier (PKMacBuilder) in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp before 2.7.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service through CPU exhaustion via a CMP message or CRMF certificate request whose PBMParameter declares a very large iteration count, because PKMacBuilder enforced its iteration-count ceiling only when the caller had supplied an explicit maximum through the PKMacBuilder(IPKMacPrimitivesProvider, int) constructor. With any other constructor, ProtectedPkiMessage.Verify and CertificateRequestMessage.IsValidSigningKeyPop performed as many hash iterations as the sender requested, up to about 2^31, before the MAC could be checked.
CVE-2026-17508 2026-10-02 N/A
In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.86, several password-based key derivation entry points ran the KDF with cost parameters taken from the untrusted input being processed, without bounding them, so a small input could dictate an arbitrary amount of work before any password or integrity check could reject it. The affected paths are the RFC 9579 PBMAC1 MAC calculator builders, which took the PBKDF2 iteration count and derived-key length straight out of PBMAC1Params (JcePBMac1CalculatorBuilder, and PKCS12PBEUtils.createPBMac1Calculator reached from PKCS12PfxPdu.isMacValid); the scrypt parallelization parameter p in the PKCS#8 and PKCS#12 cost guards, which bounded only the cost parameter N and the block size r even though the scratch buffer scales with r times p, so the configured memory ceiling could be evaded entirely; the raw JCA PBKDF2 provider (org.bouncycastle.jcajce.provider.symmetric.PBEPBKDF2); and the bcrypt round count read from an encrypted OpenSSH v1 private key's own kdfoptions. Each now bounds the parameter before deriving, in line with the caps already applied elsewhere in the tree, with the OpenSSH round count configurable through the new org.bouncycastle.openssh.max_rounds property. This completes the bounding begun in 1.85 for the PKCS#8 / PBES2 decryptors (CVE-2026-15055). This issue also affects Bouncy Castle for Java LTS before 2.73.13, and Bouncy Castle for Java FIPS (BC-FJA) before bcpkix-fips 1.0.13 (1.0.X series), 2.0.13 (2.0.X series) and 2.1.13 (2.1.X series).
CVE-2026-104845 1 Lxsmnsyc 1 Seroval 2026-10-02 7.5 High
Seroval facilitates JS value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities. Prior to 1.6.3, deserializeTypedArray in fromJSON and fromCrossJSON trusts a deserialized source value as an ArrayBuffer and does not bound the serialized element count. An attacker can provide a small untrusted JSON object with a large length value, causing the array-like TypedArray constructor to synchronously allocate the selected number of elements and exhaust CPU or memory while starving the event loop. The offset check does not reject the crafted source because source.byteLength is undefined. DataView reaches a similar unchecked cast but throws rather than allocating, and the issue has no identified confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.3.
CVE-2026-94650 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Thrift, Hummingbird 2026-10-02 N/A
Uncontrolled Recursion vulnerability in Apache Thrift c_glib bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-94635 1 Apache 1 Thrift 2026-10-02 7.5 High
Allocation of resources without limits or throttling, Improper handling of length parameter inconsistency vulnerability in Apache Thrift Lua bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-83632 1 Apache 1 Thrift 2026-10-02 N/A
Allocation of resources without limits or throttling, Integer overflow or wraparound, Heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Apache Thrift. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-66858 1 Redhat 1 Hummingbird 2026-10-02 7.5 High
The protocol skip routine in several Apache Thrift bindings did not apply the binding's recursion limit, so a message that nests unknown fields deeply enough can exhaust the stack. Affected: the Python C++ accelerator (the pure-Python protocols are not affected), the PHP library and its thrift_protocol extension, and the Perl, Lua, Smalltalk and OCaml libraries. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
