CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vxlan: do not reuse cached ip_hdr() value after skb_tunnel_check_pmtu()
skb_tunnel_check_pmtu() can change skb->head.
Reusing old_iph afer skb_tunnel_check_pmtu() can cause an UAF.
Use instead ip_hdr(skb) as done in drivers/net/bareudp.c
and drivers/net/geneve.c.
Found by Sashiko. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: pcm: oss: Fix setup list UAF on proc write error
snd_pcm_oss_proc_write() links a newly allocated setup entry into the
OSS setup list before duplicating the task name. If the task-name
allocation fails, the error path frees the already linked entry and
leaves setup_list pointing at freed memory.
A later OSS device open can then walk the stale list entry in
snd_pcm_oss_look_for_setup() and dereference freed memory.
Allocate the task name and initialize the setup entry before publishing
the entry on setup_list. Also fetch the initial proc read iterator only
after taking setup_mutex, so all setup_list traversal follows the same
list lifetime rules. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/rocket: fix UAF via dangling GEM handle in create_bo
rocket_ioctl_create_bo() inserts a GEM handle into the file's IDR via
drm_gem_handle_create() early on, then performs several operations that
can fail (sgt allocation, drm_mm insert, iommu_map). If any fail after
the handle is live, the error path calls drm_gem_shmem_object_free()
which kfree's the object without removing the handle from the IDR.
This leaves a dangling handle pointing to freed slab memory. Any
subsequent ioctl using that handle (PREP_BO, FINI_BO, SUBMIT) calls
drm_gem_object_lookup() and dereferences freed memory (UAF).
Fix by moving drm_gem_handle_create() to after all fallible operations
succeed, matching the pattern used by panfrost, lima, and etnaviv.
Also fix drm_mm_insert_node_generic() whose return value was silently
overwritten by iommu_map_sgtable() on the next line. Add the missing
error check.
[tomeu: Move handle creation to the very end] |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix possible crash on l2cap_ecred_conn_rsp
If dcid is received for an already-assigned destination CID the spec
requires that both channels to be discarded, but calling l2cap_chan_del
may invalidate the tmp cursor created by list_for_each_entry_safe and
in fact it is the wrong procedure as the chan->dcid may be assigned
previously it really needs to be disconnected.
Calling l2cap_chan_clone directly may still lead to l2cap_chan_del so
instead schedule l2cap_chan_timeout with delay 0 to close the channel
asynchronously. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock/virtio: bind uarg before filling zerocopy skb
virtio_transport_send_pkt_info() allocates or reuses the zerocopy uarg
before entering the send loop, but virtio_transport_alloc_skb() still
fills the skb before it inherits that uarg. When fixed-buffer vectored
zerocopy hits MAX_SKB_FRAGS, io_sg_from_iter() may partially attach
managed frags and return -EMSGSIZE. The rollback path call kfree_skb()
to free an skb that carries SKBFL_MANAGED_FRAG_REFS but no uarg, so
skb_release_data() falls through to ordinary frag unref.
Pass the uarg into virtio_transport_alloc_skb() and bind it immediately
before virtio_transport_fill_skb(). This keeps control or no-payload skbs
untouched while ensuring success and rollback share one lifetime rule. |
| Use after free in DevTools in Google Chrome prior to 154.0.8037.57 allowed a remote attacker leveraging social engineering to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
SUNRPC: Zero rpc_gss_wire_cred at svcauth_gss_decode_credbody() entry
svcauth_gss_decode_credbody() writes the caller's
rpc_gss_wire_cred field by field and assigns gc_ctx.len only on
the success tail. The caller storage is svcdata->clcred, which
lives in the per-svc_rqst gss_svc_data and is reused across
requests. Early decode failures leave partially decoded state
mixed with residue from the prior request.
The trailing body_len tightness check is the sharpest case:
xdr_stream_decode_opaque_inline() has already written gc_ctx.data
with a borrowed inline pointer into the current request's XDR
pages, but gc_ctx.len retains its prior value. Once the request
pages are released the pooled clcred carries a dangling pointer
paired with a stale length.
Zero the caller's rpc_gss_wire_cred at function entry so that
every early-return path leaves a deterministic all-zero cred.
On the trailing tightness-check path, gc_ctx.len is now zero
instead of stale, which neuters length-driven consumers such as
gss_svc_searchbyctx() that would otherwise walk the dangling
data pointer. |
| A flaw was found in GCC. When an application calls the erase_if function on a binary heap priority queue in libstdc++, the library reallocates storage but fails to update its internal entry pointer. An attacker capable of triggering this operation can exploit this use-after-free condition, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) via an application crash or potential memory corruption. |
| A flaw was found in GnuTLS. The `gnutls_pkcs11_token_set_pin` function, used for changing the Security Officer PIN, can lead to a use-after-free vulnerability. This occurs when an attacker attempts to change the PIN with a NULL old PIN for a token that lacks a protected authentication path. |
| A use-after-free vulnerability was found in libxslt while parsing xsl nodes that may lead to the dereference of expired pointers and application crash. |
| Use after free in mod_auth_digest in Apache Software Foundation Apache HTTP Server before 2.4.69 on all platforms allows an unauthenticated remote client to cause authentication state corruption via concurrent Digest authentication requests when AuthDigestNcCheck is enabled or AuthDigestNonceLifetime is set to 0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.69, which fixes this issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/core: Fix potential use after free in uverbs_free_dmah()
When accessing a dmah via the netlink path the only synchronization
mechanism for the said dmah is rdma_restrack_get().
Currently, rdma_restrack_del() is invoked at the end of
uverbs_free_dmah(), which is too late, since by that point
vendor-specific resources associated with the dmah might already be
freed. This can leave a short window where the dmah remains accessible
through restrack, leading to a potential use-after-free.
Fix this by moving the rdma_restrack_begin_del() call to the start of
uverbs_free_dmah(), ensuring that the dmah is removed from restrack
before its internal resources are released. This guarantees that no new
users hold references to a dmah that is in the process of destruction.
In addition, this change preserves the intended inverted order
between create and destroy routines: resources are added to
restrack at the end of successful creation, and hence shall be removed
from the restrack first thing during the destruction flow, which keeps
the lifecycle management consistent and predictable. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
i3c: master: Fix device_register() error path
When device_register() fails in i3c_master_register_new_i3c_devs(),
put_device() is called to drop the reference taken by
device_register(). That drops the last reference, so the device's
release callback i3c_device_release() runs and frees the i3c_device.
Two problems follow from that:
i3c_device_release() does WARN_ON(i3cdev->desc), so it warns because
desc->dev->desc still points back at the descriptor. Clear it before
calling put_device().
After put_device() frees the i3c_device, desc->dev is left pointing at
freed memory, so clear desc->dev as well. That prevents, for example,
i3c_master_unregister_i3c_devs() seeing desc->dev as non-NULL and
dereferencing it. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: flush pending RCU callbacks on module unload
Call rcu_barrier() in module exit to wait for outstanding call_rcu() callbacks
before freeing module text, preventing late callback execution in freed memory.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
staging: octeon: add missing napi_disable in cvm_oct_rx_shutdown
cvm_oct_rx_shutdown calls free_irq and netif_napi_del without
disabling the napi instance first. As the free_irq only waits
for completion of hard interrupt handlers, the napi poll
function could still be active. If cvm_oct_remove proceeds to
free the plat structure (which holds the NAPI instances), the
active poll function will access freed memory, resulting in a
use-after-free crash. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: iwlwifi: pcie: null RX pointers after free
When iwl_pcie_tx_init() fails after RX init, nic init unwinds via
iwl_pcie_rx_free().
The freed RX members stayed non-NULL on the live transport object,
so later teardown or retry could touch stale RX state.
Set rx_pool, global_table, rxq, and alloc_page to NULL after free
to make repeated cleanup and retry paths safe. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
perf: Fix addr_filter_ranges lifetime
Lee Jia Jie reported that since event::addr_filter_ranges is used
under RCU, it should be RCU freed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: hidpp: fix potential UAF in hidpp_connect_event()
If input_register_device() fails, we call input_free_device(), but keep
stale pointer to the old device in hidpp->input, which could potentially
lead to UAF. Fix that by resetting it to NULL before returning from
hidpp_connect_event(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: iwlwifi: mld: purge async notifications upon nic error
This fixes a kernel panic in reconfig failure:
1. we have a BSS connection
2. we have a NAN connection
3. FW error occurs
4. reconfig restores the BSS connection
5. however, restoring the NAN connection fails due to a FW error.
6. erroneously, ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure is called and marks all
interfaces as not-in-driver (will be fixed in a different patch).
7. mac80211 frees the links of the BSS connection but doesn't tell the
driver about that, as it thinks that this vif is not in the driver.
8. in ieee80211_stop_device, *ALL* wiphy works are getting flushed
(erroneously?)
9. Therefore, async_handlers_wk is being executed, processing the
statistics notification that was received after we restored the BSS
connection.
10. the notification handler dereferences fw_id_to_bss_conf[id], which is
now a dangling pointer, as mac80211 already freed this link in (7).
11. On the first access to one of the links fields, we panic.
While this can and should be fixed by removing the call to
ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure in (6), it is also not a good idea to
carry and maybe handle notifications from a dead FW.
We do purge the notifications when we stop the FW, but in reconfig
failure we stop the FW too late, after the notifications are processed.
In addition, async_handlers_wk can always be scheduled before the
reconfig work.
Purge the notifications immediately when transport notifies about a nic
error. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
pds_core: quiesce DMA before freeing resources
pdsc_teardown() frees DMA buffers but does not disable bus mastering,
leaving the device able to perform DMA after the buffers are freed.
This can lead to use-after-free if the device writes to freed memory.
Add pci_clear_master() to pdsc_teardown() to disable bus mastering
before freeing resources, ensuring all DMA is quiesced.
Add pci_set_master() to pdsc_setup() to re-enable bus mastering,
which is needed for the firmware recovery path since pdsc_teardown()
now disables it. |
