CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: stmmac: fix TX descriptor availability check for TSO traffic
stmmac_tso_xmit() estimates the number of free TX descriptors required by
a TSO skb as:
(skb->len - proto_hdr_len) / TSO_MAX_BUFF_SIZE + 1
which assumes the payload is split into TSO_MAX_BUFF_SIZE chunks. This
underestimates the descriptors actually consumed by stmmac_tso_allocator(),
since each fragment is mapped individually and so it needs at least one
descriptor regardless of its size. Moreover, one descriptor is used for
the L2/L3/L4 headers and, when the MSS changes, one more is consumed for
the MSS context descriptor.
For a highly fragmented TSO skb the check can therefore pass even when the
ring has too few free slots. stmmac_tso_allocator() then writes past the
available descriptors, overwriting descriptors still owned by the DMA
engine, corrupting the TX ring.
Add stmmac_tso_get_num_desc() to compute the exact number of descriptors
needed for the header, the linear payload and each fragment, plus the MSS
context descriptor when required, and use it in the availability check. |
| BusyBox passwd/group tokenize() references a stale endpoint pointer after trimming, causing an out-of-bounds write of heap pointers. |
| BusyBox romfs volume ID parsing uses unbounded strlen on attacker-controlled metadata, causing a heap buffer overflow when processing crafted filesystem images. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/ivpu: Validate full buffer range in ivpu_to_cpu_addr
Add a size parameter to ivpu_to_cpu_addr() and validate that the
whole [vpu_addr, vpu_addr + size) range stays within the BO. |

| The Botslab G980H dash camera firmware contains an out of bounds write vulnerability in its command processing functionality. An authenticated attacker with adjacent network access could submit crafted command data that corrupts memory, potentially disrupting authentication state or causing the affected process to terminate and the device to restart, resulting in a temporary denial of service. |
| FluidSynth is a software synthesizer based on the SoundFont 2 specifications. From 2.2.4 until 2.5.6, configuring synth.midi-channels above 16 allows the MIDI player to index _fluid_player_t::channel_isplaying outside its fixed-size heap allocation while tracking active channels. The resulting out-of-bounds reads and writes invoke undefined behavior and may compromise confidentiality, integrity, or availability. No crafted MIDI file is required because the unsafe condition is created by the channel-count configuration itself. Keeping synth.midi-channels at its default value of 16 avoids the vulnerable path. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.6. |
| radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's CPython bytecode .pyc marshal parser was vulnerable because the CPython marshal readers accepted a 32-bit string length without rejecting values that overflow the size-plus-one allocation. The vulnerability is triggered by opening or inspecting a crafted .pyc file through r2 or rabin2. A length of 0xffffffff wrapped the allocation to zero before the common byte reader wrote attacker-controlled data and fill bytes beyond the heap allocation. This can cause heap memory corruption and denial of service; arbitrary code execution is possible but has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0. |
| Out-of-bounds Write in the natural width branch of the text sizing protocol in kitty from 0.40.0 before 0.49.0 allows a program writing to the terminal to write past the end of a fixed-size buffer, because screen_handle_multicell_command() in kitty/screen.c appends each codepoint of a grapheme cluster with lc.chars[lc.count++] = ch without any capacity check, while lc is declared by the RAII_ListOfChars macro as a four-element char_type array in the function's stack frame, so an OSC 66 escape code whose payload carries a grapheme cluster longer than four codepoints writes beyond that buffer, one 32-bit value per additional codepoint, in the order the codepoints appear. Where the cluster is preceded in the same payload by a sequence that causes an intermediate flush, the buffer is first migrated to the heap by ensure_space_for_chars() and the write occurs past the heap allocation instead. This results in termination of the kitty process and therefore of all its windows, tabs and child processes. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
PCI/pwrctrl: tc9563: Fix parsing the integrated Ethernet MAC Endpoint node
DSP3 has an integrated Ethernet MAC Endpoint which has its own set of
config registers for configuring settings such as ASPM. The Endpoint device
has two physical functions and those two functions share the same settings.
Parse the Endpoint node under DSP3 instead of parsing both functions. The
existing parsing logic also has one OOB issue as parsing both functions
will result in accessing past the tc9563_pwrctrl->cfg array. |
| An integer overflow in the BSON document encoding component of the MongoDB Python Driver's bundled native extension may occur when a single document is built from an unusually large amount of caller-supplied data. Size arithmetic is performed in a signed 32-bit type, and the guard meant to catch the overflow is written in a form whose behavior is not defined by the C language standard. A party with no privileges who can place a very large value into data that an application encodes may, depending on how the native extension was built, cause a write outside the bounds of an allocated buffer inside the application's own process. |
| Out of bounds write in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| Out-of-bounds write vulnerability in Altera Trusted Firmware on HPS allows Exploitation of Improperly Configured or Implemented Memory Protections.
This issue affects Trusted Firmware: through socfpga_v2.14.0. |
| An out-of-bounds write in the connection-monitoring logic of the MongoDB C Driver may allow an unauthenticated party who controls name resolution and the responses of the hosts named in a client's connection string to write beyond the end of a heap buffer. This may cause the application using the driver to terminate unexpectedly. |
| An out-of-bounds write vulnerability [CWE-787] vulnerability in Fortinet FortiWeb 8.0.0 through 8.0.3, FortiWeb 7.6.0 through 7.6.6, FortiWeb 7.4.0 through 7.4.11 may allow a remote privileged attacker to execute arbitrary code or command via crafted HTTP requests. |
| LightGBM through 4.7.0 fails to validate child and split array values when parsing text models, allowing attackers to write out-of-bounds memory during SHAP prediction. Attackers can craft malicious model files with invalid node references that trigger out-of-bounds writes at attacker-chosen offsets in the leaf_depth_ buffer during feature contribution computation. |
