CVSS v3.1 |
The application OpenEMR version 5.0.0, 5.0.1-dev and prior is affected by vertical privilege escalation vulnerability. This vulnerability can allow an authenticated non-administrator users to view and modify information only accessible to administrators.
Vulnerability in the RDBMS Security component of Oracle Database Server. Supported versions that are affected are 11.2.0.4, 12.1.0.2 and 12.2.0.1. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows high privileged attacker having Create User privilege with logon to the infrastructure where RDBMS Security executes to compromise RDBMS Security. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of RDBMS Security accessible data. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 2.3 (Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N).
Incorrect Access Control vulnerability in Hashtopussy 0.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute actions that should only be available for administrative roles, as demonstrated by an action=createVoucher request to agents.php.
main.c in Tinyproxy 1.8.4 and earlier creates a /run/tinyproxy/tinyproxy.pid file after dropping privileges to a non-root account, which might allow local users to kill arbitrary processes by leveraging access to this non-root account for tinyproxy.pid modification before a root script executes a "kill `cat /run/tinyproxy/tinyproxy.pid`" command.
Due to differences in the Erlang-based JSON parser and JavaScript-based JSON parser, it is possible in Apache CouchDB before 1.7.0 and 2.x before 2.1.1 to submit _users documents with duplicate keys for 'roles' used for access control within the database, including the special case '_admin' role, that denotes administrative users. In combination with CVE-2017-12636 (Remote Code Execution), this can be used to give non-admin users access to arbitrary shell commands on the server as the database system user. The JSON parser differences result in behaviour that if two 'roles' keys are available in the JSON, the second one will be used for authorising the document write, but the first 'roles' key is used for subsequent authorization for the newly created user. By design, users can not assign themselves roles. The vulnerability allows non-admin users to give themselves admin privileges.
An Improper Privilege Management issue was discovered in SpiderControl SCADA Web Server Version 2.02.0007 and prior. Authenticated, non-administrative local users are able to alter service executables with escalated privileges, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code under the context of the current system services.
Privilege escalation in Replibit Backup Manager earlier than version 2017.08.04 allows attackers to gain root privileges via sudo command execution. The vi program can be accessed through sudo, in order to navigate the filesystem and modify a critical file such as /etc/passwd.
The Gentoo sci-mathematics/gimps package before 28.10-r1 for Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search (GIMPS) allows local users to gain privileges by creating a hard link under /var/lib/gimps, because an unsafe "chown -R" command is executed.
A vulnerability in a script file that is installed as part of the Cisco Policy Suite (CPS) Software distribution for the CPS appliance could allow an authenticated, local attacker to escalate their privilege level to root. The vulnerability is due to incorrect sudoers permissions on the script file. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to the device and providing crafted user input at the CLI, using this script file to escalate their privilege level and execute commands as root. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to acquire root-level privileges and take full control of the appliance. The user has to be logged-in to the device with valid credentials for a specific set of users. The Cisco Policy Suite application is vulnerable when running software versions 10.0.0, 10.1.0, or 11.0.0. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvc07366.
In Paessler PRTG Network Monitor 17.3.33.2830, it's possible to create a Map as a read-only user, by forging a request and sending it to the server.
An issue was discovered in AppArmor before 2.12. Incorrect handling of unknown AppArmor profiles in AppArmor init scripts, upstart jobs, and/or systemd unit files allows an attacker to possibly have increased attack surfaces of processes that were intended to be confined by AppArmor. This is due to the common logic to handle 'restart' operations removing AppArmor profiles that aren't found in the typical filesystem locations, such as /etc/apparmor.d/. Userspace projects that manage their own AppArmor profiles in atypical directories, such as what's done by LXD and Docker, are affected by this flaw in the AppArmor init script logic.
Incorrect policy enforcement in system firmware for Intel NUC7i3BNK, NUC7i3BNH, NUC7i5BNK, NUC7i5BNH, NUC7i7BNH versions BN0049 and below allows attackers with local or physical access to bypass enforcement of integrity protections via manipulation of firmware storage.
Honeywell Intermec PM23, PM42, PM43, PC23, PC43, PD43, and PC42 industrial printers before 10.11.013310 and 10.12.x before 10.12.013309 have /usr/bin/lua installed setuid to the itadmin account, which allows local users to conduct a BusyBox jailbreak attack and obtain root privileges by overwriting the /etc/shadow file.
Inappropriate implementation in image-burner in Google Chrome OS prior to 59.0.3071.92 allowed a local attacker to read local files via dbus-send commands to a BurnImage D-Bus endpoint.
An issue was discovered in Cloud Foundry Foundation cf-release versions prior to v261; UAA release 2.x versions prior to v2.7.4.17, 3.6.x versions prior to v3.6.11, 3.9.x versions prior to v3.9.13, and other versions prior to v4.2.0; and UAA bosh release (uaa-release) 13.x versions prior to v13.15, 24.x versions prior to v24.10, 30.x versions prior to 30.3, and other versions prior to v37. There is privilege escalation (arbitrary password reset) with user invitations.
An issue was discovered in Cloud Foundry Foundation cf-release versions prior to v260; UAA release 2.x versions prior to v2.7.4.16, 3.6.x versions prior to v3.6.10, 3.9.x versions prior to v3.9.12, and other versions prior to v3.17.0; and UAA bosh release (uaa-release) 13.x versions prior to v13.14, 24.x versions prior to v24.9, 30.x versions prior to 30.2, and other versions prior to v36. Privileged users in one zone are allowed to perform a password reset for users in a different zone.
EMC Mainframe Enablers ResourcePak Base versions 7.6.0, 8.0.0, and 8.1.0 contains a fix for a privilege management vulnerability that could potentially be exploited by malicious users to compromise the affected system.

A vulnerability has been identified with the groups endpoint in UAA allowing users to elevate their privileges. |
Vulnerability in the MySQL Server component of Oracle MySQL (subcomponent: Server: InnoDB). Supported versions that are affected are 5.6.34 and earlier5.7.16 and earlier. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server. CVSS v3.0 Base Score 6.5 (Availability impacts).
In EMC Isilon OneFS 8.1.0.0, 8.0.1.0 - 8.0.1.1, 8.0.0.0 - 8.0.0.4, 7.2.1.0 - 7.2.1.5, 7.2.0.x, and 7.1.1.x, a malicious compliance admin (compadmin) account user could exploit a vulnerability in isi_get_itrace or isi_get_profile maintenance scripts to run any shell script as system root on a cluster in compliance mode. This could potentially lead to an elevation of privilege for the compadmin user and violate compliance mode.
