CVSS v3.1 |
| Net::IDN::UTS46 versions before 2.590 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via quadratic punycode encoding of an overlong label before the length check in to_ascii.
to_ascii punycode encodes each label and only then applies the 63-byte DNS limit. encode_punycode in both backends follows the sample implementation in RFC 3492, whose outer loop runs once per distinct non-ASCII code point and scans the whole input each round, so a label of distinct non-ASCII characters costs the square of its length before the limit rejects it. Every ASCII conversion in the distribution, including domain_to_ascii and email_to_ascii, goes through to_ascii. |
| Net::IDN::Punycode versions before 2.590 for Perl hang, crash or return a wrong label via unvalidated malformed UTF-8 in encode_punycode.
Neither backend checks that its input is well-formed UTF-8, so a string with the UTF-8 flag set over malformed bytes, as the :utf8 PerlIO layer produces from any malformed input, reaches the encoder unchecked. On perl 5.32 and later the XS backend reports a malformed sequence with a length of `(STRLEN)-1`, so the scan steps back one byte instead of forward and never ends. On earlier perls the XS returns a valid label for a different name. The pure-Perl backend runs a regex over the flagged string. Depending on the bytes, it aborts with SIGBUS on perl 5.28 and later, dies with a panic, or returns a wrong label.
The documented conversion functions match the label against Unicode properties first and that match dies on such a string, so only a direct call to encode_punycode reaches the defect. The decoder is not affected.
A direct caller encoding attacker-supplied bytes hangs, crashes or gets a label for a name the input never held. |

| A path traversal vulnerability in Flatpak's handling of the export/bin directory during app deployment allows a malicious Flatpak app to cause deletion of attacker-chosen files outside the deployment directory when the app is installed or upgraded. In system-wide installations, the deletion is performed as root. |
| A code injection vulnerability has been discovered in the Robot Operating System 2 (ROS 2) 'ros2topic' command-line tool, affecting all ROS 2 distributions from Crystal Clemmys up to and including Lyrical Luth and Rolling Ridley. The vulnerability lies in the 'hz' verb, which reports the publishing rate of a topic and accepts a user-provided Python expression via the --filter option. This input is passed directly to the eval() function without sanitization, allowing a local user to craft and execute arbitrary code. |
| A path traversal vulnerability in Flatpak's handling of the files/etc directory during app deployment allows a malicious Flatpak app to cause certain host system files (such as passwd, group, machine-id, or resolv.conf) to be emptied or replaced with a symlink when the app is installed or upgraded. In system-wide installations, the write is performed as root. |
| Nest is a framework for building scalable Node.js server-side applications. Prior to 11.2.4 and 12.0.2, a single message with a deeply nested object in its pattern can terminate a NestJS microservice using the TCP or RabbitMQ transport. ServerTCP#handleMessage and ServerRMQ#handleMessage pass a client-controlled non-string pattern to JSON.stringify to derive the handler lookup key; sufficiently deep nesting throws RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded, and the unhandled promise rejection terminates Node.js under its default behavior. An attacker who can reach the TCP port or publish to the consumed RabbitMQ queue or exchange can crash the service on demand; other transports are not affected because their patterns arrive as strings. This issue is fixed in versions 11.2.4 and 12.0.2. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6: fix possible UAF in ip6_finish_output2()
If skb_expand_head() returns NULL, skb has been freed
and associated dst/idev could also have been freed.
We need to hold rcu_read_lock() to make sure the dst and
associated idev are alive. |
| Insufficient validation of inputs supplied through affected VeloCloud Edge management and configuration workflows may allow an authorized management request or configuration value to be interpreted as an operating-system command. Successful exploitation may allow command execution with elevated privileges on the affected VeloCloud Edge. |
| MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to 0.22.0, confluence_upload_attachment opens a caller-selected server-local file without checking that the resolved path remains in the workspace. A caller can upload environment files, credentials, or other readable host data to a Confluence page and retrieve it through Atlassian. The advisory traces the vulnerable input and processing flow through confluence_upload_attachment, file_path, and open(file_path, "rb"), which identify the affected entry points, controls, and code paths. This issue is fixed in version 0.22.0. |
| vLLM up to and including 0.17.0 allows remote attackers to cause a Denial of Service via memory exhaustion. The AsyncMediaIO.fetch_audio and AsyncMediaIO.fetch_image functions in multimodal/inputs.py fetch user-supplied media URLs using aiohttp and call r.read() without enforcing a maximum response size, allowing an attacker to exhaust server memory by providing a URL to an arbitrarily large file. |
| Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Prior to 7.0.17 and 8.0.6, the Windows service installation and parameter-update logic in src/win32-service.c can pass an unquoted service ImagePath to CreateServiceA. When Suricata is installed below a path containing spaces and an earlier path component is writable by a local low-privileged attacker, Windows can execute an attacker-controlled program as LocalSystem, resulting in local privilege escalation. This issue is fixed in versions 8.0.6 and 7.0.17. |
| Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. From 7.0.0 until 7.0.17 and 8.0.6, the MQTT parser in rust/src/mqtt/mqtt.rs permits repeated PUBREC or PUBREL messages to be appended to one transaction without a limit. Crafted MQTT traffic can grow transaction state indefinitely, consuming CPU and memory and causing slowdown or denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 8.0.6 and 7.0.17. |
| Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. From 7.0.13 until 7.0.17, the SMTP MIME quoted-printable decoder in src/util-decode-mime.c can read one byte past a heap buffer when a quoted-printable escape sequence is split across traffic chunks and the following chunk contains exactly one byte. Crafted SMTP traffic can trigger the out-of-bounds read and crash Suricata when decode-quoted-printable MIME decoding is enabled. This issue is fixed in version 7.0.17. |
| adm-zip before 0.5.18 is vulnerable to denial of service via a crafted ZIP file with a manipulated uncompressed size header field. In zipEntry.js line 103, Buffer.alloc(_centralHeader.size) allocates memory based on the declared uncompressed size from the ZIP central directory header without validating it against the actual compressed data size or imposing any upper bound. The size value is read directly from the binary header at entryHeader.js line 266 with no bounds check. An attacker can craft a ~120-byte ZIP file that declares ~4GB uncompressed size, causing a memory allocation amplification ratio of over 33 million to 1. The allocation occurs before CRC validation, so the malicious payload cannot be rejected early. All extraction and read methods are affected: readFile(), readAsText(), extractEntryTo(), extractAllTo(), extractAllToAsync(), test(), and entry.getData(). Any application accepting untrusted ZIP files via adm-zip is vulnerable to immediate process crash. |
