| A vulnerability was detected in D-Link DIR-895L A1_102b07. Impacted is the function tunnel_set_params of the file tunnel.c of the component L2TP Control Channel Parser. Performing a manipulation results in out-of-bounds write. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. |
| Frictionless before 5.19.1 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the explore console command that allows an attacker who supplies a crafted Data Package descriptor to execute arbitrary operating system commands as the user who explores it. Attackers can place shell metacharacters in resource path values within a datapackage.json descriptor, which are passed unsanitized to os.system through a shell, causing arbitrary command execution in the victim's security context when they run the explore command against the untrusted package. This vulnerability was also addressed in version 5.20.0rc2 of the pre-release branch. |
| A vulnerability was identified in Netcore NR289-GE 1.4.5102. This issue affects the function system of the file /ap_ip.cgi of the component CGI Handler. Such manipulation of the argument ip leads to os command injection. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Vulnerabilities in the Analytics and Location Engine web interface allows remote authenticated users to run arbitrary commands on the underlying host. A successful exploit could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary commands as root on the underlying operating system leading to complete system compromise. |
| A vulnerability exists in a component of the HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways that may allow for arbitrary command execution. An authenticated remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted input to the affected component. Successful exploitation could result in remote code execution as root. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in Netcore NBR200V2 1.3.241127.071246. Affected is the function system of the file /usr/bin/network_tools of the component Tools Ping Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument url results in os command injection. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A vulnerability was identified in Netcore NBR200V2 1.3.241127.071246. This impacts the function eval of the file /www/cgi-bin/network_tools of the component Web Management Interface. Such manipulation of the argument QUERY_STRING leads to os command injection. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A vulnerability has been found in aaPanel BaoTa up to 11.8.0. This issue affects the function InputSql of the file class/database.py of the component Database Backup Handler. Such manipulation of the argument Password leads to os command injection. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: cfg80211: reject duplicate wiphy cipher suite entries
Duplicate entries in wiphy->cipher_suites do not describe any
additional capability, but cfg80211 currently accepts them and leaves
individual consumers to deal with them.
One such consumer is the WEXT compatibility code, which appends a WEP
key length for each WEP cipher entry it sees. Repeated WEP entries can
therefore overflow the fixed iw_range::encoding_size array returned by
SIOCGIWRANGE.
Reject duplicate cipher suite entries in wiphy_register() instead.
This keeps the cipher suite invariant in one place and makes malformed
wiphy descriptions fail early with -EINVAL, rather than relying on a
single cfg80211 user to handle duplicates correctly. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: validate and share PSP fw_pri_buf copies via psp_copy_fw
Change psp_copy_fw from void to int: return -ENODEV when drm_dev_enter
fails, and -EINVAL when the image size is zero or larger than the
1 MiB PSP private buffer.
Replace open-coded memset/memcpy into fw_pri_buf with psp_copy_fw. |
| A flaw was found in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted GIMPressionist preset file, the plug-in does not properly validate vector indices before writing into fixed-size arrays. This can lead to an out-of-bounds write, corrupting memory. An attacker could exploit this by convincing a user to load a malicious preset file, potentially causing a crash or enabling arbitrary code execution. |
| A flaw was found in NetworkManager-iodine, the iodine VPN plugin for NetworkManager. A local unprivileged user can exploit a vulnerability in how the 'nameserver' setting is processed when establishing an iodine VPN connection. By embedding shell metacharacters (special characters that can execute commands) in the 'nameserver' value, an attacker can inject and execute arbitrary commands. These commands run with root privileges before the application drops its elevated permissions, leading to local privilege escalation. |
| A flaw was found in NetworkManager-sstp, the SSTP VPN plugin for NetworkManager. A local unprivileged user can exploit this vulnerability by embedding special characters, known as shell metacharacters, into VPN connection profile fields such as CA certificate or proxy settings. These unescaped characters are then processed by the `pppd` daemon, which runs with root privileges, allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary commands with elevated permissions when a malicious VPN connection is activated. |
| Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') vulnerability in Wikimedia Foundation Mediawiki - ExternalData Extension allows OS Command Injection.
This issue affects Mediawiki - ExternalData Extension: from * before 3.7. |
| IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.2 is affected by a command injection vulnerability in the GIM bundle import functionality. An authenticated attacker can provide a crafted GIM bundle that causes attacker-controlled arguments to be passed to the tar command, resulting in arbitrary command execution with elevated privileges on the Central Manager. |
| IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data 5.4.0.0 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands due to improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command. |
| IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data 5.4.0.0 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to OS command injection. |
| IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data 5.4.0.0 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to improper escaping of connector property values during OSH script generation. |
| OpenEye Apex Network Video Recorder (NVR) firmware 3.2.9.376 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in recbackup. An authenticated administrator can supply crafted backup-area configuration input that is passed to a shell command, allowing commands to execute with the privileges of the nvr user. The underlying design has been present since at least firmware 2.2.3.4.
This vulnerability is resolved in OpenEye Apex version 3.4.3. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vxlan: initialize _md in vxlan_xmit_one()
If a VXLAN device is configured with both VXLAN_F_COLLECT_METADATA and
VXLAN_F_GBP, and a packet is transmitted through it using an external
ip_tunnel_info that lacks the IP_TUNNEL_VXLAN_OPT_BIT flag, md is left
pointing to the uninitialized _md stack variable:
if (test_bit(IP_TUNNEL_VXLAN_OPT_BIT, info->key.tun_flags)) {
if (info->options_len < sizeof(*md))
goto drop;
md = ip_tunnel_info_opts(info);
}
Because IP_TUNNEL_VXLAN_OPT_BIT is not set, md is not updated and remains
pointing to _md. Later, vxlan_build_skb() is called with md, which
eventually calls vxlan_build_gbp_hdr():
if (vxflags & VXLAN_F_GBP)
vxlan_build_gbp_hdr(vxh, md);
Inside vxlan_build_gbp_hdr(), md->gbp is read:
if (!md->gbp)
return;
gbp = (struct vxlanhdr_gbp *)vxh;
...
if (md->gbp & VXLAN_GBP_DONT_LEARN)
gbp->dont_learn = 1;
If the stack contains garbage, this causes:
1) VXLAN_HF_GBP flag to be spuriously set in the VXLAN header.
2) gbp->dont_learn and gbp->policy_applied to be set from stack bits.
3) gbp->policy_id to receive 16 bits of uninitialized kernel stack data,
leaking it onto the wire.
Fix this by zero-initializing _md. If IP_TUNNEL_VXLAN_OPT_BIT is not
present, md->gbp remains 0, and vxlan_build_gbp_hdr() returns early
without modifying the VXLAN header. |
