CVSS v3.1 |
| Missing Authorization vulnerability in Marcin Wise Chat wise-chat allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels. This issue affects Wise Chat: from n/a through 3.4.3. |
| Authorization bypass through a user-controlled key in the optional Amazon Q Business Lambda hook sample ( q-business-lambda-hook https://github.com/aws-solutions-library-samples/qnabot-on-aws/blob/main/source/docs/lambda_hooks/README.md ), available with QnABot on AWS versions 7.0.0 through 7.4.5, might allow an authenticated remote user to read arbitrary Amazon S3 objects in the deploying AWS account. This sample solution provides an example Lambda hook and requires separate, manual deployment and additional setup. It is not deployed automatically with QnABot. Customers who have not deployed this optional sample hook are not affected and do not need to take action.
To remediate this issue, affected customers should update the QnABot on AWS stack to version 7.4.6 or later and then redeploy the Amazon Q Business Lambda hook sample stack. Updating the QnABot on AWS stack alone does not deliver the fix. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Averta LTD Shortcodes and extra features for Phlox theme auxin-elements allows DOM-Based XSS.This issue affects Shortcodes and extra features for Phlox theme: from n/a through 2.17.22. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.21.8, the @backstage/plugin-kubernetes-backend package is affected by improper entity validation in deprecated kubernetes services endpoint. An authenticated user with Kubernetes read permissions could access Kubernetes workload data beyond their intended scope by supplying crafted entity data to the deprecated services endpoint. The exposure is limited to read-only access to Kubernetes object metadata across configured clusters. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.8. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 2.1.6 in @backstage/plugin-search-backend and 1.8.7 in @backstage/plugin-search-backend-module-elasticsearch, search engine permission filtering could return documents denied by policy. An authenticated Backstage user subject to a DENY policy for search document types could receive unauthorized results in deployments with permission.enabled set to true and an Elasticsearch or OpenSearch backend. This issue is fixed in @backstage/plugin-search-backend 2.1.6 and @backstage/plugin-search-backend-module-elasticsearch 1.8.7. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.3.25, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-confluence-to-markdown package is affected by improper input validation in confluence to markdown scaffolder module. Insufficient input validation in the Confluence to Markdown scaffolder module could allow an attacker to influence file write operations during template execution. Exploitation requires a Backstage user to run a template that processes attacker-influenced Confluence content. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.25. |
| An issue in iTerm2 macOS before 3.6.12 allows a local attacker to obtain sensitive information. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.14.8, 1.15.6, and 2.0.1, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package improperly validated mapping-style markdown_extensions configuration. An authenticated attacker who can register or influence an SCM-backed documentation source may bypass TechDocs sanitization and cause Python objects to be imported and instantiated in the generator runtime, leading to arbitrary code execution. Earlier fixes in versions 1.14.6 and 1.15.4 did not fully address the supported mapping representation of markdown_extensions. Impact is greatest when documentation generation runs with backend credentials, filesystem access, or internal network access. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.8, 1.15.6, and 2.0.1. |
| In multiple locations, there is a possible out of bounds write due to an incorrect bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: fix smbd_connection leak on cifs_get_tcp_session() error
When an RDMA connection is successfully established via
smbd_get_connection() but cifs_get_tcp_session() later fails (e.g.
kthread_create() returns an error), the error path frees tcp_ses
without first destroying the smbd_connection.
Fix this by calling smbd_destroy() in the out_err cleanup path before
kfree(tcp_ses). smbd_destroy() safely handles the case where
smbd_conn is NULL, so it can be called unconditionally. |
| Dell OpenManage Integration with Microsoft Windows Admin Center, versions prior to 3.7.0, contains an Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Remote execution. |
| Incorrect authorization in WebAppInstalls in Google Chrome on on Android prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker to bypass system access restrictions via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| Confused deputy in UI in Google Chrome on on Android prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a local attacker to bypass system access restrictions into a privileged page via a co-installed app. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| In multiple locations, there is a possible out-of-bounds write due to uninitialized data. This could lead to remote escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.14.6, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by configuration bypass in techdocs mkdocs.yml sanitization. Insufficient validation of MkDocs configuration during TechDocs generation could allow an authenticated user who can register or modify documentation sources to execute arbitrary commands in the build environment. Impact is limited to resources accessible to the TechDocs backend or build container. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.6 and 1.15.4. |
| libexpat before commit 13c5f63 contains a heap buffer over-read vulnerability in xmlparse.c. XML_ParseBuffer advances the parse buffer end with parser->m_bufferEnd += len using a caller-supplied length that is not validated against the allocated buffer size, so repeated XML_ParseBuffer calls move m_bufferEnd past the end of the heap allocation and subsequent parsing reads out of bounds. Reaching this path requires a parse buffer to already be present; otherwise XML_ParseBuffer returns XML_ERROR_NO_BUFFER. A buffer is present after a prior call to XML_GetBuffer, either directly (the common case) or indirectly through a prior XML_Parse call that allocates the buffer internally. The over-read discloses adjacent heap memory to the calling application, recovering heap pointers, libc function pointers, and code pointers sufficient to defeat ASLR and build further exploitation primitives. |
| A flaw was found in source-to-image. When unpacking archive files, the application fails to properly sanitize symbolic links pointing to absolute file paths. An attacker who supplies a malicious builder image can exploit this vulnerability by embedding links pointing outside the extraction directory. This allows the attacker to bypass sandbox boundaries, potentially leading to unauthorized information disclosure or file modification on the host system. |
| A flaw was found in m17n-lib. An attacker could provide specially crafted or truncated UTF-8 input to trigger an unhandled null pointer dereference during text processing. This issue causes the application to crash unexpectedly, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s GIF export plug-in. Exporting an image with very large width and height can cause 32-bit overflow when computing the pixel buffer size. The plug-in allocates a buffer based on the wrapped value while GEGL writes using the true image extent, rooted in integer overflow |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
IB/iser: reject a remote invalidation of an unregistered direction
A write command whose data is sent entirely as immediate data is not
registered. iser_reg_mem_fastreg() takes the DMA key path and leaves
rdma_reg[ISER_DIR_OUT].desc at NULL, while iser_dma_map_task_data() has
already set dir[ISER_DIR_OUT].
iser_check_remote_inv() looks at dir[] alone and hands the descriptor to
iser_inv_desc(), which reads desc->sig_protected. A target that answers
such a command with IB_WR_SEND_WITH_INV faults the initiator.
Leaving those commands unregistered is deliberate.
The same function already terminates the connection when a target sends
a remote invalidation the initiator did not ask for. A target that
invalidates a direction that was never registered is in the same class,
so give it the same answer.
