CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mana: Add NULL guards in teardown path to prevent panic on attach failure
When queue allocation fails partway through, the error cleanup frees
and NULLs apc->tx_qp and apc->rxqs. Multiple teardown paths such as
mana_remove(), mana_change_mtu() recovery, and internal error handling
in mana_alloc_queues() can subsequently call into functions that
dereference these pointers without NULL checks:
- mana_chn_setxdp() dereferences apc->rxqs[0], causing a NULL pointer
dereference panic (CR2: 0000000000000000 at mana_chn_setxdp+0x26).
- mana_destroy_vport() iterates apc->rxqs without a NULL check.
- mana_fence_rqs() iterates apc->rxqs without a NULL check.
- mana_dealloc_queues() iterates apc->tx_qp without a NULL check.
Add NULL guards for apc->rxqs in mana_fence_rqs(),
mana_destroy_vport(), and before the mana_chn_setxdp() call. Add a
NULL guard for apc->tx_qp in mana_dealloc_queues() to skip TX queue
draining when TX queues were never allocated or already freed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mana: Skip redundant detach on already-detached port
When mana_per_port_queue_reset_work_handler() runs after a previous
detach succeeded but attach failed, the port is left in a detached
state with apc->tx_qp and apc->rxqs already freed. Calling
mana_detach() again unconditionally leads to NULL pointer dereferences
during queue teardown.
Add an early exit in mana_detach() when the port is already in
detached state (!netif_device_present) for non-close callers, making
it safe to call idempotently. This allows the queue reset handler and
other recovery paths to simply retry mana_attach() without redundant
teardown. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Mark signal tracepoint siginfo arguments as scalar
The signal_generate and signal_deliver tracepoints declare their info
argument as a struct kernel_siginfo pointer. btf_ctx_access() therefore
treats it as a trusted pointer for tp_btf programs.
Signal delivery also uses SEND_SIG_NOINFO and SEND_SIG_PRIV as special
values for this argument. Those values are zero and one respectively,
and are not pointers. A tp_btf program can currently dereference either
value and fault the kernel. In particular, signal_generate can run from
timer interrupt context, turning the fault into a kernel panic.
Record both tracepoints in raw_tp_null_args[] and mark argument one as
a non-pointer. This preserves scalar access to the cookie while rejecting
direct and helper-mediated pointer use. Merely marking it nullable would
not suffice because SEND_SIG_PRIV is nonzero. |
| RT-Labs AB C-Open CANopen contains a NULL pointer dereference if the LSS protocol is used to configure the device. An object defined by the user application may not have all required subindexes for object 0x1018. An unauthenticated, remote attacker with access to the CAN bus, through a compromised node for instance, can initiate the LSS protocol on a device with a misconfigured identity object and potentially crash the device. Fixed in 1.1.1. |
| PX4 Autopilot through 1.17.0 contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the sd_stress command where the -b byte count parameter is parsed without validation before being passed to malloc() and memset(). Attackers with shell access, including through MAVLink, can supply invalid byte count values to crash the flight controller. |
| A NULL pointer dereference in mod_xml2enc in Apache Software Foundation Apache HTTP Server before 2.4.69 on all platforms allows an untrusted backend server to cause a denial of service via a proxied response with a charset whose conversion partially succeeds then fails.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.69, which fixes this issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
locking/lockdep: Fix NULL pointer dereference in __lock_set_class()
register_lock_class() can return NULL when the lock class pool is
exhausted, graph_lock() fails, or key validation fails. However,
__lock_set_class() uses the return value directly in pointer arithmetic
without a NULL check:
class = register_lock_class(lock, subclass, 0);
hlock->class_idx = class - lock_classes;
If class is NULL, this computes a wild offset that corrupts
hlock->class_idx. The subsequent reacquire_held_locks() call will
invoke hlock_class() with this corrupted index, leading to a NULL or
out-of-bounds pointer dereference.
Add the missing NULL check, consistent with how __lock_acquire() already
handles this case at the same call site. |
| Tapo C120 v1 and C200 v5
contain a NULL pointer dereference in the HTTPS onboarding connect request parser. The interface is reachable without
authentication after initial setup and does not validate that a password field
is present for certain authentication and encryption parameter combinations,
allowing a malformed request from the same local network to crash the HTTPS service
Successful exploitation may
temporarily make HTTPS management functions unavailable. Repeated malformed
requests may sustain the denial-of-service condition, and recovery may in some
cases require a device reboot. |
| PassMark PerformanceTest before 11.1 build 1012, BurnInTest before 11.1 build 1000, and OSForensics before 11.1 build 1016 contain an unauthenticated physical memory disclosure in DirectIo64.sys, reachable by unprivileged local users through a single IOCTL with no caller-identity check. The handler writes a crash-dump-format (PAGEDU64) image of all physical memory to a caller-supplied file path in the SYSTEM context, allowing a standard user to create files in locations they cannot otherwise write and to recover memory belonging to processes of other users. The image is preceded by a header that exposes the kernel loaded-module list, active-process list and PFN database pointers, defeating KASLR. The same handler also dereferences the return value of an internal kernel-structure locator without a NULL check; that locator returns NULL on three distinct failure paths, and a kernel crash results on builds where any of those paths is taken. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
regulator: tps6594: Fix device node reference leaks in multiphase loop
In tps6594_regulator_probe(), the multi-phase configuration loop calls
of_find_node_by_name() to find buck nodes by name, and of_get_parent()
twice to navigate to the PMIC parent node. None of the acquired node
references (np, intermediate parent, np_pmic_parent) are ever released
via of_node_put(), causing a reference leak on every loop iteration.
Additionally, of_find_node_by_name() can return NULL, but the result was
immediately passed to of_node_full_name() and of_get_parent() without a
NULL check, which could lead to a NULL pointer dereference.
Fix this by:
- Adding a NULL check for np after of_find_node_by_name()
- Storing the intermediate parent node in a local variable np_parent
- Calling of_node_put() on np, np_parent and np_pmic_parent at the
end of each loop iteration |
| Apache Traffic Server can crash from null dereferences and dangling references in TLS and SNI handling.
This issue affects Apache Traffic Server: from 8.0.0 through 8.1.11, from 9.0.0 through 9.2.14, from 10.0.0 through 10.1.3.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.15 or 10.1.4, which fix the issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: chips-media: wave5: Release m2m_ctx after Instance Removed from List
Possible use after free if IRQ thread manages to obtain spinlock between
m2m_ctx release and wave5_release function removing stream instance from
list of active instances. The IRQ thread looks for the m2m_ctx which is
freed so null pointer dereference occurs. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
x86/amd_node: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference
amd_smn_read/write() are exported functions around __amd_smn_rw(), so
they are always available even if amd_smn_init() fails. In that case,
'amd_roots' is NULL and __amd_smn_rw() will access uninitialized memory.
Then, commit:
83518453074d ("x86/amd_node: Add SMN offsets to exclusive region access")
added the 'smn_exclusive' flag, which indicated the calls to
pci_request_config_region_exclusive() succeeded, to prevent
concurrent userspace access.
Commit:
0a4b61d9c2e4 ("x86/amd_node: Fix AMD root device caching")
re-ordered initialization so pci_request_config_region_exclusive() is
called earlier and a failure exits amd_smn_init() before allocating
'amd_roots'. The setting of 'smn_exclusive' moved to the end of
amd_smn_init(), after 'amd_roots' is allocated. It became redundant
and can be removed.
Replace 'smn_exclusive' with directly checking 'amd_roots', to fix a
potential NULL pointer dereference and to simplify the logic.

| NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer where an attacker could cause a null pointer dereference. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vduse: validate virtqueue alignment
vduse_validate_config() only checks the upper bound of vq_align. Invalid
values can therefore reach vring_create_virtqueue_map(). The split-ring
helpers use align - 1 as a bit mask, so the alignment must be a non-zero
power of two. A zero value makes vring_size() drop the descriptor and
available-ring part and vring_init() leave the used ring pointer NULL.
The VIRTIO spec requires the used ring to start at an address
aligned to at least 4 bytes. Reject values below VRING_USED_ALIGN_SIZE as
well as non-power-of-two values before they reach the virtio ring helpers.
Opening a virtio-net device created with vq_align=0 triggered:
