CVSS v3.1 |
| Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in hexpm hex allows an untrusted package mirror to exhaust the memory or disk space of the machine running mix deps.get, mix deps.update, mix hex.package fetch or mix hex.docs fetch.
Hex treats a mirror configured with HEX_MIRROR_URL, HEX_MIRROR or mirror_url as untrusted: it doesn't send credentials to it, and it checks registry signatures and package checksums that the mirror can't forge. Several response paths consume memory or disk in proportion to what the mirror sends before any of those checks run.
Hex.HTTP.request/5 reads the whole response body into memory and decompresses it with :zlib.gunzip/1 whenever the response's Content-Encoding contains gzip, with no limit on the compressed or decompressed size. Hex doesn't ask for compressed responses, so the server decides whether this step runs. It applies to registry, package, docs and API responses.
Package tarballs have no download size limit. Hex 2.5.1 holds the whole tarball in memory and writes it to the cache, and the development branch streams it to a temporary file; the 16 MiB tarball limit is checked only when the file is unpacked. The tarball is then unpacked, into deps/<app> in 2.5.1 and into a staging directory on the development branch, before its checksums are compared with the registry.
mix hex.docs fetch, and mix hex.docs offline when docs are missing, write the docs tarball to disk and extract it with :mix_hex_erl_tar.extract/2 without the 16 MiB compressed and 128 MiB decompressed limits that mix_hex_tarball:unpack_docs/3 applies. The signed registry doesn't cover docs tarballs, so nothing checks them.
Registry responses are also decompressed before their signature is checked, in hex_core code that Hex vendors; that part is tracked in https://github.com/hexpm/hex_core/security/advisories/GHSA-7c4r-cgf9-9jmq.
This issue affects hex: from 0.11.2 before 2.5.2. |
| In Progress ShareFile Storage Zones Controller v5.12.6 and below, processing of queue items can send acknowledgements to an unvalidated callback URL, this behavior together with a race condition allows the attacker to cause FileCopyService to consume attacker-controlled metadata and content. Exploitation requires control over copy queue work and a race condition. |
| In Progress ShareFile Storage Zones Controller v5.12.6 and below, improper validation of outbound request destinations and parameters, unsafe JSONP response formatting, and insufficient validation on queue service can be chained by a remote unauthenticated attacker to issue server-side requests to unintended local handlers and perform unauthorized queue operations. |
| SWUpdate through 2026.05.1 contains an improper certificate validation vulnerability in crypto/swupdate_cms_verify_openssl.c that trusts untrusted X.509 certificates embedded in CMS SignedData for chain building. Attackers holding a signing key from a sibling intermediate under the same root can embed that intermediate in the signature to install malicious updates. |
| QloApps through 1.7.0 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in back-office AJAX handlers of AdminOrdersController, AdminBookingDocumentController, AdminProductsController and AdminAddHotelController that skip htl_access hotel checks. Hotel-restricted employees can supply other hotels' sequential identifiers to read, upload and delete booking documents and delete rooms, room images and hotel images. |
| A vulnerability was detected in Netis WF2409E 3.3.42541. This affects an unknown function of the component Wireless Settings. The manipulation of the argument SSID results in cross site scripting. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| yshop-crm through 2.1.3 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows any authenticated back-office user to approve or reject contracts by calling POST /admin-api/crm/contract/check. Because CrmContractController lacks @PreAuthorize and approver checks are commented out, attackers can approve contracts to alter customer deal and purchase data or reject them to return products to stock. |
| Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. From 3.0.0 until 4.7.10, Handlebars lookupProperty returns Function.prototype.constructor before applying the prototype-access deny list because constructor is an own property of Function.prototype. When an attacker can render a controlled template with allowProtoMethodsByDefault enabled and an accessible function in the template context, the template can traverse from that function through its prototype to Function.prototype and then obtain the Function constructor through the own-property bypass. This permits attacker-controlled JavaScript to execute with the server application's privileges. This issue is fixed in version 4.7.10. |
| Exposure of Sensitive System Information to an Unauthorized Control Sphere vulnerability in Dotstore WooCommerce Product Attachment woo-product-attachment allows Retrieve Embedded Sensitive Data. This issue affects WooCommerce Product Attachment: from n/a through 2.3.4. |
| Missing Authorization vulnerability in royalnavneet Delete All Comments of wordpress delete-all-comments-of-website allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels. This issue affects Delete All Comments of wordpress: from n/a through 7.1. |
| Improper input validation in parsing sheifd in libsimba.heifdec.media.samsung.so prior to SMR Oct-2026 Release 1 allows local attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code. |
| Improper input validation in getting cover image in libsimba.heifdec.media.samsung.so prior to SMR Oct-2026 Release 1 allows local attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code. |
| Use after free in WSM service prior to SMR Oct-2026 Release 1 allows local attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code with system privilege. |
| Denver SHO-110 IP cameras expose a secondary HTTP service on TCP port 8001 that provides access to a '/snapshot' endpoint without authentication. While the primary web interface on port 80 enforces authentication, the backdoor service allows any remote attacker to retrieve image snapshots by directly requesting the 'snapshot' endpoint. An attacker can repeatedly collect snapshots and reconstruct the camera stream, compromising the confidentiality of the monitored environment. |
| Incorrect Privilege Assignment vulnerability in Cozy Vision Technologies Pvt. Ltd. SMS Alert Order Notifications sms-alert allows Privilege Escalation. This issue affects SMS Alert Order Notifications: from n/a through 4.0.0. |
| This CVE ID has been rejected or withdrawn by its CVE Numbering Authority. |
| LogicalDOC Community Edition through 9.3 contains an improper authorization vulnerability in the PswRecovery servlet that fails to bind password recovery tickets to the requesting user. Attackers can obtain a ticket for their own account and reuse it with any userId, including administrators, to reset victims' passwords, lock them out, and reveal their email addresses. |
| LogicalDOC Community Edition through 9.3 contains a code injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users to execute OS commands by submitting Velocity templates in DocumentService.sendAsEmail subject or message fields. Attackers can invoke SystemTool exec methods or ClassTool, bypassing the forbidRuntimeUsage denylist, to run commands with LogicalDOC process privileges. |
| SmarterMail before build 9777 contains a privilege escalation vulnerability where JWT access and refresh tokens embed a role claim at issuance that is not revalidated against the account's current role when redeemed through POST /api/v1/auth/refresh-token. Attackers who capture a refresh token issued before an administrator demotion, or a demoted user whose session was not actively polling at the time of demotion, can replay the stale token to obtain a new access token retaining the higher-privilege role (such as DomainAdmin or SysAdmin) until natural token expiry. |
| Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in hexpm hex_core allows an attacker who can intercept HTTPS connections to impersonate hex.pm, repo.hex.pm or any other repository or API server to programs that use hex_core's default HTTP adapter on Erlang/OTP 24, or on OTP 25 when the operating system's CA certificates can't be loaded.
hex_core:default_config/0 selects the built-in hex_http_httpc adapter. For an HTTPS request whose adapter config has no ssl option, hex_http_httpc:http_options/2 builds options that verify the server certificate against public_key:cacerts_get/0. When that call raises, the adapter prints a warning and sends the request without ssl options, so httpc uses the defaults of the ssl application, which before OTP 26 don't verify the server certificate. public_key:cacerts_get/0 doesn't exist on OTP 24, so every HTTPS request falls back there, and on OTP 25 it raises when no CA store is found. hex_core versions before 0.11.0 never set ssl options, so they don't verify the server certificate on OTP 25 and earlier whether or not a CA store is found.
The fallback was intended and documented, but the documentation didn't make clear that it meant no certificate verification. Since hex_core 0.8.2 the README has warned that the built-in httpc adapter "has insecure default settings" and recommended other HTTP clients, and the adapter prints "using default ssl options which are insecure" on every request that falls back. hex_core 0.11.0 added certificate verification with the changelog entry "Use secure SSL defaults for OTP 25+". Neither the README nor the warning says that the server certificate isn't verified, the README doesn't say which OTP versions the warning applies to, and on OTP 25 without CA certificates the warning tells users to upgrade to OTP 25 or later, which they already run. This advisory is published so that users who took those notices as general advice know their HTTPS requests weren't authenticated.
This issue affects hex_core: from 0.1.0 before 0.20.0. |
