CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in libcap. A local unprivileged user can exploit a Time-of-check-to-time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition in the `cap_set_file()` function. This allows an attacker with write access to a parent directory to redirect file capability updates to an attacker-controlled file. By doing so, capabilities can be injected into or stripped from unintended executables, leading to privilege escalation. |
| A flaw was found in the libtiff library. A remote attacker could exploit a signed integer overflow vulnerability in the putcontig8bitYCbCr44tile function by providing a specially crafted TIFF file. This flaw can lead to an out-of-bounds heap write due to incorrect memory pointer calculations, potentially causing a denial of service (application crash) or arbitrary code execution. |
| A remote code execution vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. Insufficient bounds validation in the AV1 encoder's SVC (Scalable Video Coding) layer ID control allows an attacker to supply crafted video frame pixels that overlap with internal encoder layer context structures. In fork-based video processing services, an attacker can use this to hijack the cyclic refresh map pointer, brute-force the process base address via a crash oracle, and redirect control flow to achieve arbitrary command execution. Exploitation requires the target service to use libaom with SVC encoding enabled and accept attacker-supplied video frames. |
| A heap-buffer-overflow read vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A missing bounds check in the SVC (Scalable Video Coding) layer ID control function allows setting a spatial_layer_id exceeding the configured number of layers. This causes an out-of-bounds heap read of approximately 40,728 bytes when computing a layer context array index. An attacker who can influence SVC encoder parameters in a network-facing service could exploit this for information disclosure (heap content leak) or denial of service (segmentation fault from hitting unmapped memory). |
| An arbitrary address write vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A missing bounds check in the SVC (Scalable Video Coding) layer ID control function allows an attacker to inject an arbitrary pointer into the cyclic refresh map field via crafted image pixel values. The encoder then writes approximately 1,200 bytes at the attacker-controlled address. This is fully deterministic and does not require a separate information leak. An attacker who can supply frames to a network-facing libaom encoder with SVC enabled could exploit this for denial of service or potential code execution. |
| A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A flaw in the AV1 encoder's Look-Ahead Processing (LAP) mode causes the first-pass stats ring buffer wrap-around guard to be bypassed when g_lag_in_frames is set to 1 or higher. This results in a 232-byte out-of-bounds write on every encoded frame after the second, corrupting adjacent heap objects. An attacker who can influence encoder configuration in a transcoding service or WebRTC session could exploit this to cause a denial of service (process crash) or potentially achieve code execution. |
| A flaw was found in dracut. The die() error-handling function writes its message into a shell script under the initramfs emergency-hook directory without properly shell-quoting it. When the message contains data derived from the DHCP ROOT_PATH option, an attacker on the adjacent network who controls a rogue DHCP server can inject a command-substitution sequence that executes as root the next time dracut sources its emergency hook scripts during standard boot-failure handling. |
| A flaw was found in dracut. A remote attacker on the adjacent network can exploit this vulnerability by providing specially crafted DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) options, such as a malicious hostname, to a system using dracut's legacy DHCP path. These options are improperly handled and written into temporary shell scripts without proper escaping, leading to command injection. This allows the attacker to achieve root code execution within the initramfs, potentially compromising the system's boot and network behavior. |
| Use after free in mod_auth_digest in Apache Software Foundation Apache HTTP Server before 2.4.69 on all platforms allows an unauthenticated remote client to cause authentication state corruption via concurrent Digest authentication requests when AuthDigestNcCheck is enabled or AuthDigestNonceLifetime is set to 0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.69, which fixes this issue. |
| Internal state files accessible to external parties in mod_dav_fs in Apache Software Foundation Apache HTTP Server before 2.4.69 on all platforms allows a remote client to read WebDAV dead properties of resources it cannot author via a GET request for the .DAV state directory
This issue affects Apache HTTP Server: from 2.4.0 through 2.4.68. |
| Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request/Response Smuggling') response smuggling vulnerability in Apache HTTP Server via mod_proxy_uwsgi and a crafted uwsgi response with Transfer-Encoding.
This issue affects Apache HTTP Server: from 2.4.30 through 2.4.68. |
| Authentication bypass by capture-replay in mod_auth_digest in Apache Software Foundation Apache HTTP Server 2.4.x on all platforms allows a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacker to replay captured digest authentication credentials via crafted requests that trigger garbage collection of the client's shared memory entry when AuthDigestNonceLifetime is set to 0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.69, which fixes this issue. |
| Path equivalence: '/./' (single dot directory) vulnerability in Apache HTTP Server's mod_userdir module when configured with absolute non-wildcard UserDir directive (the 2nd form in https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/mod_userdir.html#userdir)
This issue affects Apache HTTP Server: from 2.4.0 through 2.4.68. |
| A NULL pointer dereference in mod_xml2enc in Apache Software Foundation Apache HTTP Server before 2.4.69 on all platforms allows an untrusted backend server to cause a denial of service via a proxied response with a charset whose conversion partially succeeds then fails.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.69, which fixes this issue. |
| Improper validation of FTP PASV reply address in mod_proxy_ftp in Apache Software Foundation Apache HTTP Server through 2.4.68 on all platforms allows, in forward proxy configurations, an untrusted FTP server to cause the proxy to open a data connection to an arbitrary third-party host via a crafted PASV response.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.69, which fixes this issue. |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in mod_vhost_alias in Apache Software Foundation Apache HTTP Server through 2.4.68 on all platforms allows a remote client to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code via an HTTP request with a Host header exceeding 8192 bytes when VirtualDocumentRoot uses a hostname format specifier and LimitRequestFieldSize is raised above the default.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.69, which fixes this issue. |
| Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability in Apache HTTP Server's mod_proxy_html with crafted HTTP response bodies.
This issue affects Apache HTTP Server: from 2.4.0 through 2.4.68. |
| Hugo versions from v0.162.0 before v0.166.0 contain a case-sensitive validation flaw in the security.http.urls IP-literal deny rule that allows attackers to bypass restrictions. Attackers can use mixed-case URL schemes in resources.GetRemote calls to fetch from restricted IP addresses like localhost. |
| A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in rpm. RPMTAG_FILESIGNATURES in a crafted, unsigned RPM package's main header is declared with the wrong header type, causing hex2binv() to allocate a one-byte buffer and then write the tag's attacker-controlled, hex-decoded content — of attacker-chosen length — past the end of that allocation. This is reachable via rpm2cpio, rpm2archive, and rpm -qlvp on an untrusted package. |
| Hugo is a static site generator. In versions from v0.56.0 through v0.165.x, content files mapped to the text/org media type are rendered without escaping raw HTML: Org export blocks and @@html:...@@ snippets pass HTML through unescaped, resulting in cross-site scripting (XSS) in the generated site. An attacker who can supply or influence a content file under /content or the output of a content adapter can inject scripts that execute in the browsers of visitors to the affected pages. Only pages whose source file or content-adapter output declares the text/org media type are affected, and sites that fully trust all content sources are not impacted. Version v0.166.0 fixes the issue by introducing a security.allowContent allowlist that denies text/org by default; sites that intentionally author Org Mode content can opt back in with [security] allowContent = ['.*']. |
