CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: mpt3sas: Limit NVMe request size to 2 MiB
The HBA firmware reports NVMe MDTS values based on the underlying drive
capability. However, because the driver allocates a fixed 4K buffer for
the PRP list, accommodating at most 512 entries, the driver supports a
maximum I/O transfer size of 2 MiB.
Limit max_hw_sectors to the smaller of the reported MDTS and the 2 MiB
driver limit to prevent issuing oversized I/O that may lead to a kernel
oops. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rxrpc: Fix rxkad crypto unalignment handling
Fix handling of a packet with a misaligned crypto length. Also handle
non-ENOMEM errors from decryption by aborting. Further, remove the
WARN_ON_ONCE() so that it can't be remotely triggered (a trace line can
still be emitted). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs/ntfs3: Fix slab-out-of-bounds read in DeleteIndexEntryRoot
In the 'DeleteIndexEntryRoot' case of the 'do_action' function, the
entry size ('esize') is retrieved from the log record without adequate
bounds checking.
Specifically, the code calculates the end of the entry ('e2') using:
e2 = Add2Ptr(e1, esize);
It then calculates the size for memmove using 'PtrOffset(e2, ...)',
which subtracts the end pointer from the buffer limit. If 'esize' is
maliciously large, 'e2' exceeds the used buffer size. This results in
a negative offset which, when cast to size_t for memmove, interprets
as a massive unsigned integer, leading to a heap buffer overflow.
This commit adds a check to ensure that the entry size ('esize') strictly
fits within the remaining used space of the index header before performing
memory operations. |
| RustFS is a distributed object storage system built in Rust. Prior to 1.0.0-beta.2, the internode RPC layer authenticates every request with an HMAC-SHA256 signature using a shared secret. The function that produces this secret, get_shared_secret() in crates/ecstore/src/rpc/http_auth.rs, falls back to the public, source-tree-embedded DEFAULT_SECRET_KEY = "rustfsadmin" when neither the RUSTFS_RPC_SECRET environment variable nor the global S3 secret key has been configured. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.0.0-beta.2. |
| Nautobot is a Network Source of Truth and Network Automation Platform. Prior to 2.4.33 and 3.1.2, Nautobot UI object-bulk-rename endpoints (for example, /dcim/interfaces/rename/) were vulnerable to application-wide denial of service via maliciously crafted regular expressions in the find field in combination with the use_regex flag. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.4.33 and 3.1.2. |
| pam_usb provides hardware authentication for Linux using ordinary removable media. Prior to 0.8.7, src/tmux.c reads the user's $TMUX environment variable, splits it on commas, and interpolates the socket-path component directly into a shell command passed to popen(). Because the value is placed inside double-quotes without sanitisation, any value containing " terminates the quoted string and injects arbitrary shell syntax. popen() runs as root inside the PAM stack. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.7. |
| A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way that Microsoft Windows Codecs Library handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could execute arbitrary code.
Exploitation of the vulnerability requires that a program process a specially crafted image file.
The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Microsoft Windows Codecs Library handles objects in memory. |
| <p>A remote code execution vulnerability exists when the Base3D rendering engine improperly handles memory.</p>
<p>An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability would gain execution on a victim system.</p>
<p>The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the Base3D rendering engine handles memory.</p> |
| In libpng 1.6.34, a wrong calculation of row_factor in the png_check_chunk_length function (pngrutil.c) may trigger an integer overflow and resultant divide-by-zero while processing a crafted PNG file, leading to a denial of service. |
| tif_predict.h and tif_predict.c in libtiff 4.0.6 have assertions that can lead to assertion failures in debug mode, or buffer overflows in release mode, when dealing with unusual tile size like YCbCr with subsampling. Reported as MSVR 35105, aka "Predictor heap-buffer-overflow." |
| The shared memory manager (associated with pre-authentication compression) in sshd in OpenSSH before 7.4 does not ensure that a bounds check is enforced by all compilers, which might allows local users to gain privileges by leveraging access to a sandboxed privilege-separation process, related to the m_zback and m_zlib data structures. |
| authfile.c in sshd in OpenSSH before 7.4 does not properly consider the effects of realloc on buffer contents, which might allow local users to obtain sensitive private-key information by leveraging access to a privilege-separated child process. |
| The (1) roaming_read and (2) roaming_write functions in roaming_common.c in the client in OpenSSH 5.x, 6.x, and 7.x before 7.1p2, when certain proxy and forward options are enabled, do not properly maintain connection file descriptors, which allows remote servers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow) or possibly have unspecified other impact by requesting many forwardings. |
| A buffer overflow exists in the Brotli library versions prior to 1.0.8 where an attacker controlling the input length of a "one-shot" decompression request to a script can trigger a crash, which happens when copying over chunks of data larger than 2 GiB. It is recommended to update your Brotli library to 1.0.8 or later. If one cannot update, we recommend to use the "streaming" API as opposed to the "one-shot" API, and impose chunk size limits. |
| A vulnerability was detected in Shibby Tomato 1.28. Impacted is the function sub_90F0 of the file multimon.cgi. The manipulation results in stack-based buffer overflow. The attack can be launched remotely. This project is superseded by FreshTomato. This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Reset register ID for BPF_END value tracking
When a register undergoes a BPF_END (byte swap) operation, its scalar
value is mutated in-place. If this register previously shared a scalar ID
with another register (e.g., after an `r1 = r0` assignment), this tie must
be broken.
Currently, the verifier misses resetting `dst_reg->id` to 0 for BPF_END.
Consequently, if a conditional jump checks the swapped register, the
verifier incorrectly propagates the learned bounds to the linked register,
leading to false confidence in the linked register's value and potentially
allowing out-of-bounds memory accesses.
Fix this by explicitly resetting `dst_reg->id` to 0 in the BPF_END case
to break the scalar tie, similar to how BPF_NEG handles it via
`__mark_reg_known`. |
| Formie is a Craft CMS plugin for creating forms. Prior to 2.2.20 and 3.1.24, unauthenticated users could submit crafted values into Hidden fields (with Default value → Custom) that were evaluated as Twig during submission handling, which could lead to serious compromise of the Craft site (depending on template/sandbox behavior). This vulnerability is fixed in 2.2.20 and 3.1.24. |
| Integer overflow in XML in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 148.0.7778.216 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Insufficient validation of untrusted input in OptimizationGuide in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.216 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to perform UI spoofing via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Integer overflow in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.216 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
