CVSS v3.1 |
| Flatpak's process ID namespace separation does not prevent a sandboxed app's kill(0, signal) or killpg(0, signal) calls from reaching processes outside the sandbox that share the same process group. A malicious or compromised Flatpak app can use this to cause denial of service by terminating processes outside its sandbox, such as the desktop shell. |
| A vulnerability has been found in deepseek-ai deepseek-harness up to 0.1.7-rc.2. Affected is an unknown function of the file packages/sandbox/sandbox-local/src/profiles.ts of the component Landlock Backend. Such manipulation leads to improper isolation or compartmentalization. The attack must be carried out locally. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. It is advisable to implement a patch to correct this issue. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| vm2 before 3.12.2 does not apply its Buffer backing-store ownership invariant (byteOffset === 0 and buffer.byteLength === length) to Buffers returned from host builtin modules. When an application explicitly exposes Node's zlib module through NodeVM's builtin allowlist (require: { builtin: ['zlib'] }), zlib.deflateSync can return a Buffer backed by Node's shared small-buffer pool whose .buffer is the entire pool. Untrusted guest code can construct a full-width view of that ArrayBuffer (Buffer.from(result.buffer, 0, result.buffer.byteLength)) to read and modify bytes belonging to unrelated host buffers, disclosing and corrupting host-realm memory across the sandbox boundary. |
| Prior to 9/18/2026, the iSteamX mobile application's AWS policy could grant authenticated users access to wildcard MQTT topics, which can expose other users' device data and allow the attacker to start and stop other connected users' devices. This risked exposing user profile information and potential scalding due to unintended device activation. |
| Site isolation issue in the Reader Mode component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3. |
| vm2 through 3.12.0 (fixed in 3.12.1) does not correctly handle a nullish `this` receiver in the apply trap of its bridge (lib/bridge.js): when sandboxed code calls a host-provided non-strict (sloppy-mode) function without a receiver — e.g. `fn()`, a detached method, `fn.call()`, `fn.apply(undefined)`, `Reflect.apply(fn, undefined, [])`, or `fn.bind()()` — the undefined receiver is passed straight through to the host call, and V8 substitutes the host realm's global object for `this`. vm2 then wraps and returns that object to the sandbox, giving sandboxed script a live proxy of the host global. This allows a complete sandbox escape: untrusted script can reach `process` and execute arbitrary code/commands on the host (for example via `process.getBuiltinModule('child_process').execSync`). Exploitation requires that the embedding application expose at least one non-strict host function to the sandbox; strict-mode and ES module host functions are not affected. |
| Sandbox escape due to incorrect boundary conditions in the WebRTC component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3. |
| Sandbox escape in the Profile Backup component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156 and Thunderbird 156. |
| Site isolation issue in the Graphics component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156 and Thunderbird 156. |
| vm2 (npm) versions 3.12.0 and earlier contain a sandbox escape in `VM` and `NodeVM`. When an embedder exposes a host API that returns a host-realm Promise, the bridge's rejection sanitizer (hostPromiseSanitizeReject / makeSanitizedPromiseCallback / normalizeHostPromiseCallbacks in lib/bridge.js) only wraps `then`/`catch` rejection slots that hold a function, and the sandbox-side `Symbol.species`/`.then` neutralization is installed only on the sandbox intrinsic `Promise.prototype`, so it never applies to a host Promise. Code running inside the sandbox can overwrite `p.constructor[Symbol.species]` on the host Promise and then call `p.then()` with no `onRejected` handler; V8 substitutes its internal Thrower, which re-throws the raw host rejection value into a resolve/reject closure captured by the attacker. This delivers an unsanitized, fully functional bridge proxy of the host object to sandboxed code, bypassing handleException and hostPromiseSanitizeReject. If the rejection value is host-pivotable (for example a host `process` object), this results in arbitrary code execution on the host. Fixed in 3.12.1. |
| Improper preservation of permissions in the Avast sandbox minifilter driver (aswSnx.sys) on Windows allows a local, low-privileged attacker executing inside the sandbox to escape file isolation and escalate to SYSTEM.
When the sandbox virtualizes a file it copies the original security descriptor, but the driver opened the virtualization target object with GENERIC_WRITE and FILE_WRITE_ATTRIBUTES only, omitting WRITE_DAC. Every attempt to apply the original DACL therefore failed, and the failure was discarded silently, leaving virtualized copies of sensitive files with permissive permissions. Because the IRP_MJ_CREATE callback additionally did not strip WRITE_DAC for sensitive directories, a sandboxed process could rewrite the security descriptor of a virtualized object, read the virtualized copy of the SAM database, extract local NTLM password hashes and execute code as SYSTEM.
The absence of an IRP_MJ_SET_SECURITY callback in the driver's operation registration table is a related defense-in-depth gap, but it is not the control that prevents this attack. |
| Traefik is an open-source edge router that makes publishing services a fun and easy experience. Prior to 2.11.54, 3.6.25, and 3.7.10, cross-namespace @kubernetescrd references are not rejected for TraefikService backend references resolved by the service resolver. A tenant confined by RBAC to a single namespace can therefore bind its own router to a TraefikService owned by another namespace and expose or reroute that namespace's backend, defeating the namespace isolation allowCrossNamespace=false is meant to enforce. This issue is fixed in version 2.11.54, 3.6.25, 3.7.10. |
| Privilege escalation due to incorrect boundary conditions in the Graphics: CanvasWebGL component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 115.41, Firefox ESR 140.16, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, Thunderbird 140.16, and Thunderbird 153.3. |
| PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. From 1.2.3 until 1.7.2, SandboxExecutor network-isolated mode in src/praisonai-ts/src/cli/features/sandbox-executor.ts uses buildEnv() only to inject invalid http_proxy and https_proxy environment variables and does not establish an operating-system network boundary. Programs that ignore those proxy variables can open sockets directly, allowing supposedly isolated commands to reach localhost, internal services, cloud metadata, or external hosts and potentially exfiltrate data. An initial remediation was released in version 1.7.2. |
| Incorrect authorization in Network in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to bypass site isolation via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Sandbox escape in the Remote Settings Client component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Thunderbird 154, Firefox ESR 115.40, Firefox ESR 140.15, Firefox ESR 153.2, Thunderbird 140.15, and Thunderbird 153.2. |
| A control logic defect in a specific built-in webpage of Kids Mode allows users to view local gallery photos directly within the page |
| Site isolation issue in the Graphics: CanvasWebGL component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Firefox ESR 115.39, Firefox ESR 140.14, Firefox ESR 153.1, Thunderbird 154, Thunderbird 140.14, and Thunderbird 153.1. |
| A cross-tenant isolation vulnerability was found in Grafana’s Correlations feature affecting legacy correlation records. Due to a backward compatibility condition allowing org_id = 0 records to be returned across organizations, a user with datasource management privileges could read and permanently delete legacy correlation data belonging to another organization. This issue affects correlations created prior to Grafana 10.2 and is fixed in >=11.6.11, >=12.0.9, >=12.1.6, and >=12.2.4.
Thanks to Gyu-hyeok Lee (g2h) for reporting this vulnerability. |
| Inappropriate implementation in CORS in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.169 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to bypass site isolation via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
