CVSS v3.1 |
| Issue summary: A TLS server that calls SSL_set_SSL_CTX() to switch a
connection to a different SSL_CTX part way through a handshake may access
memory beyond the end of an internal array if the replacement context knows
about more provider signature algorithms than the context the connection was
created from. Applications which never call SSL_set_SSL_CTX() are not
affected.
Impact summary: A remote peer may be able to cause a small out-of-bounds
read, and in some circumstances a fixed-value out-of-bounds write, on the
server heap. This may lead to a Denial of Service.
CWE: CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write
Description: A TLS connection records how many certificate slots it has
when it is created, taken from the SSL_CTX that created it: the built-in
certificate types plus one slot for each provider TLS-SIGALG entry that
context was aware of. That count sizes an internal array of per-slot
certificate validity flags.
An application may replace a connection's SSL_CTX part way through the
handshake by calling SSL_set_SSL_CTX(), most commonly from a servername
callback in order to serve a different virtual host. Doing so did not
refresh the recorded count. A provider signature algorithm's slot index is
its position in the list of whichever context resolves it, so if the
replacement context is aware of more of them than the original, an
algorithm offered by the peer can resolve to an index beyond the end of the
array. Processing the peer's signature algorithms then reads one four byte
word past the end for each such algorithm and, where the word read is zero,
writes a fixed value over it. A peer offering many of them can corrupt heap
metadata and abort the process.
Only provider signature algorithms which occupy one of the excess slots,
and which the server also has configured, have this effect. Codepoints the
replacement context does not recognise are discarded without being resolved
to a slot, and provider signature algorithms are usable only from TLS 1.3.
The two contexts must therefore be aware of different numbers of provider
signature algorithms, which requires separate library contexts, a provider
loaded between the two being created, or providers which differ in what
they advertise - in 4.0, for example, the default provider advertises SM2
where the FIPS provider does not. A deployment meeting the condition is
also unable to negotiate the affected algorithms with legitimate clients,
since the same stale count hides the corresponding certificates, so the
misconfiguration is likely to be noticed. For that reason, and because the
configuration is not the default, this issue has been assessed as Low
severity.
FIPS impact: no
No FIPS modules are affected by this issue as the affected code is outside
the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary. |
| An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7.1 and iPadOS 26.7.1, macOS Sequoia 15.8.1, macOS Tahoe 26.7.1. Processing a maliciously crafted file may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals on versions of iOS before iOS 27. |
| KubeEdge is an open source system for extending native containerized application orchestration capabilities to hosts at Edge. From 1.0.0 until 1.21.2, 1.22.2, and 1.23.1, Reader.Read in pkg/viaduct/pkg/packer trusts the 32-bit PackageHeader.PayloadLen received through the CloudHub viaduct message-processing path and allocates that amount of memory before validating an upper bound. An authenticated malicious or compromised edge peer can repeatedly send crafted headers with excessive declared lengths, causing memory exhaustion, CloudHub process termination or restart loops, and temporary disruption of cloud-edge communication. This issue does not provide unauthenticated access or direct code execution. This issue is fixed in versions 1.21.2, 1.22.2, and 1.23.1. |
| CTranslate2 before 4.8.1 contains a heap-based buffer overflow in the binary model loader that fails to validate payload length against allocated buffer size. Attackers can craft malicious model files with oversized payload lengths to write past heap allocation boundaries, causing crashes or arbitrary code execution. |
| OS Command Injection in internal/gitcmd (git diff filter.clean/smudge invocation) in esengine DeepSeek-Reasonix (Reasonix Studio) allows a local attacker who controls repository content (.gitattributes + .git/config) to execute arbitrary commands via the desktop app's workspace-changes diff viewer. |
| compress provides various compression algorithms. Prior to version 1.18.7, a signed integer overflow vulnerability in s2.NewDict() allows an attacker to bypass repeat index validation by supplying a dictionary with a uvarint-encoded repeat value exceeding MaxInt64. When Dict.Encode() is subsequently called, the overflowed negative repeat value causes an out-of-bounds memory access via unsafe.Pointer arithmetic, crashing the process with SIGSEGV. This issue has been patched in version 1.18.7. |
| Weblate is a web-based continuous localization platform used to manage software translations. Weblate 4.11.1 through 2026.7.1 contains an argument-injection vulnerability in its Mercurial backend. Repository filenames beginning with - could be interpreted as Mercurial options instead of literal paths. An authenticated user with project-scoped component.edit permission could exploit this through a Mercurial-backed RESX component using the Update RESX files add-on. A later repository update could execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the Weblate service account. This is a residual incomplete fix for CVE-2022-23915. This issue has been patched in version 2026.8. |
| A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in rpm. Parsing a symlink entry in an untrusted RPM package whose declared RPMTAG_LONGFILESIZES value is 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF causes an integer overflow in iterReadArchiveNext() that shrinks a buffer allocation to one byte, after which the payload's independently-controlled cpio filesize field is used to write attacker-controlled data past the end of that allocation. This is reachable via rpm2cpio, rpm2archive, and rpm -qlvp on an untrusted package. |

| Wind River VxWorks 7 prior to 26.09, specific system call arguments can result in memory corruption within the memory management subsystem. Fixed in Version 26.09 |
| The ConvertPlus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Deserialization of Untrusted Data in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.3 via the style parameter of the cp_display_preview_modal AJAX action. The vulnerability exists because the action's nonce guard is gated behind an isset() check and fails open when the cp_admin_page_nonce parameter is omitted entirely, no capability check is performed on the callback, and sanitize_text_field() — applied to the $style value before it is concatenated directly into a shortcode string evaluated by do_shortcode() — does not strip shortcode delimiters, allowing an attacker to inject a second, fully attacker-controlled [smile_modal] invocation that causes smile_modal_popup() to pass attacker-supplied base64-decoded bytes to maybe_unserialize() with no allowed_classes restriction. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to inject a PHP object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to perform actions like delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code depending on the POP chain present. |
| The scriptPath parameter is incorporated into a /bin/sh -c command without sufficient neutralization of shell metacharacters, allowing shell command substitution and execution.
An authenticated user can exploit this behavior by creating a resource whose filename contains shell command substitution syntax, such as $(...), and subsequently supplying the resulting path to the Alert Script plugin's /test-send endpoint. When the alert script is executed, the shell interprets the injected command, resulting in arbitrary command execution with the privileges of the DolphinScheduler service process.
This issue affects Apache DolphinScheduler: before 3.4.3.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.4.3, which fixes the issue. |
| A flaw has been found in FastStone Image Viewer up to 8.3. The affected element is an unknown function of the component TGA Image Handler. Executing a manipulation can lead to out-of-bounds write. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Insufficient validation of inputs supplied through affected VeloCloud Edge management and configuration workflows may allow an authorized management request or configuration value to be interpreted as an operating-system command. Successful exploitation may allow command execution with elevated privileges on the affected VeloCloud Edge. |
| Das U-Boot with CONFIG_IP_DEFRAG=y parameter fails to clear IP reassembly state after delivering a complete datagram. An attacker who can deliver fragmented IP traffic can execute arbitrary code by sending duplicated last-fragment IP packets.
This issue was fixed in commit b1aec609bb5e0d08c25c888c91935287ab4ee5fa in version 2026.07. |
| A flaw was found in dash. The printf builtin reserves four bytes before converting a Unicode \u or \U escape, but the multi-byte token can need five or six bytes. A local user who can supply such an escape to dash printf or echo %b, including through dash -c and a positional argument, can write one or two bytes past that reservation. |
